The Floatliner is totally integrated in the logistical system of the float glass industry in use for all over Europe, Brazil, Japan, ... Customers from China and Middle East have started using this concept around 8 years ago, North Africa is starting to use the trailer intensely now. The estimated total number of Floatliners working on the market right now is around 3000 trailers.  Advantages of the Floatliner towards other transportation devices are for example:

 

1. Self loading and unloading from the ground - Quick and Safe.

 

2. On board fastening device (“Hydro-Push”) permits glass transportation free from breakage. This fastening device permits to secure most different sizes and kinds of glasses (from 1.5 m height with extendable Hydro-Push consoles) and even thin and coated glass can be secured without problems.

 

3. Best possible protection against dirt and humidity. Humidity is a huge problem in this field; condensation water between the glass pane leads to adhesion, which can destroy the full glass loads.

 

4. Avoids expensive and time consuming packing of the glass.

 

5. The Floatliner execution can be adapted to the customer’s requirements, like special chassis executions, different Hydro-Push devices, heating systems, etc...
